The Bride and Groom started the day with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony with their parents before changing into a a wedding gown and tux for their ceremony under the famous Pelican Hill cupola. The couple were joined by three Bridesmaids and three Groomsmen along with two adorable Flower Girls for portraits around the gorgeous property. They draped the cupola in beautiful pink silks and used blue and purple flowers with touches of greenery throughout the day for their ceremony and reception decor. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the veranda followed by dinner in the ballroom, where each table was named after a national park the Bride and Groom have visited together. The beautiful purple and blue cake was hung on a swing of greenery behind the head table making for a very memorable cake cutting! After dinner, the Bride and Groom took a moment alone to celebrate outside under the cupola just the two of them before the Bride changed into a short party dress for the first dance.  See more from their day on Style Me Pretty.

Nikki and Kevin’s Saddle Rock Ranch Wedding, Malibu Wines Fine Art Wedding Photography

Nikki and Kevin threw a stunning destination wedding next to the vineyards at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, CA. The couple are originally from Los Angeles but now live in New Orleans. They knew they had to return home to LA to tie the knot with their friends and family and their shared love of wine brought them to Saddlerock Ranch at Malibu Wines. The bride and groom even incorporated wine into their ceremony, pouring a glass for each other and toasting during the ceremony. The couple had a large wedding party with over 10 bridesmaids and groomsmen each and decided to let all the girls pick out their own white dresses making for a beautiful fashion moment! The couple was also joined by their one and a half year old daughter who made the most adorable flower girl and even joined them on the dance floor for some late night partying after a catnap during dinner.

The day was planned and designed by the bride’s sister who helped pick every detail from the plates to the invite suite. The ceremony was held down on the lower lawn right in front of the vines and was followed by a cocktail hour during golden hour with delicious passed hors d’ouerves and cocktails. The couple set up 5 lounge areas all over the cocktail space so guests would have plenty of room to spread out and relax to watch the sunset and later take a break during dancing. They set up escort cards on a vintage wagon hanging on twine with a Polaroid next to it so as each guest removed their escort card they replaced it with a photograph of themselves. Long farm tables were set up for the reception surrounding the dance floor with chandeliers and twinkle lights hanging from the trees above. Guests were welcomed to their seats with individual slabs of agate hand calligraphed with their names. A dessert table was set up nearby with a white and gold flecked cake and cake pops, macarons, cookie bars and other treats surrounding it. Guests enjoyed a lovely evening of dinner and dancing beneath the twinkle lights.  See more from this day published in Modern Luxury Weddings California, Wedding Flowers & Accessories Magazine and on Style Me Pretty.

Sarah and Kyle’s Adamson House Wedding, Malibu Fine Art Wedding Photography

Sarah and Kyle were married on July 8th in the historic Adamson House right on the beach in Malibu.  The bride and groom fell in love with spot because of the amazing 100+ year old tree that they were married under and the ocean views- inviting guests to “meet us in the garden” on their save the date featuring a watercolor of the tree.  Twine Events used both the ocean and garden themes throughout the day.  They used seashells mounted on lucite as the table numbers and multi-colored sea glass as the escort cards for something from the ocean and to bring in a little garden element they gave out cookies with pressed flowers on them as favors with a sheet of paper containing seeds that could be planted to grow flowers.
The bride wanted a lightweight beach appropriate dress and chose a beautiful lace number with an intricate veil and paired it with simple nude heels, bracelets from both mothers and a borrowed handkerchief that also served as her something blue.  The couple had their first look at the Adamson House followed by portraits in front of the incredible chuppah Flowerwild created under the iconic Adamson House tree.  The girls wore light blue Joanna August’s dresses in the same color, but chose their own silhouette, which paired beautifully with the lush bouquets and trailing blue and green ribbons created by Flowerwild.  The bride’s nieces and nephews served as her adorable flower girls and ring bearers donning bowties and flower crowns for the occasion.  The groom’s brother officiated the ceremony after which the bride, an outspoken feminist, decided to smash a glass along with the groom, modernizing the Jewish tradition.
Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the courtyard of the house where they found their seats in a beautiful escort card display of sea glass placed on a billowing piece of blue silk resembling the ocean, with a large floral installation and sprinkled with bud vases of Dahlia’s.  Guests enjoyed passed hors d’ouerves beautifully crafted by Woah Nelly and two signature drinks served on inlayed trays from the Ark with sprigs of lavender in them.  The reception was held on the other side of the house with a beautiful ocean view.  Tables were a mix of long and rounds with light blue table runners with matching napkins with hand tied silk ribbons at each place setting.  The tables were sprinkled with a mix of larger centerpieces, smaller bud vases and hundreds of dances in both clear and colored mercury glasses.
The couple enjoyed their first dance to Etta James’ At Last while the sun turned golden behind them and then cut their cake before sneaking off for some golden hour portraits.  Guests enjoyed a family style meal while the bride and groom’s father’s and siblings made toasts.  In addition to the cake Woah Nelly created beautiful fresh fruit and chocolate trays that were placed on each table for guests to nibble on during dancing.
