Gallatin Look Book 2015

During my senior year at Gallatin at NYU they started a fashion show that has continued yearly since then.  I thought it would be fun to shoot the fashions in studio before the show and suggested it to the administrators and the Gallatin Look Book was created.  I’ve come back as an alumni every year since to shoot the student’s fashions.  It’s been so fun to watch the show evolve and the students return year after year with inspiring designs.  This years theme was “Narrative Threads” and the students drew inspiration from literature.  The theme is open ended and the students were inspired by everything from Emily Dickinson to Maurice Sendak, Nabokav to Dr. Suess.  I love the story telling I get to do in my wedding and lifestyle portrait work, but it is fun to have a bit of a change and hit up the studio and shoot something completely different than my normal work!

An Organic Farm to Table Editorial

Shot on a rather rainy day in New Paltz, NY this editorial was a collaboration with Gossamer Vintage and Shellie Pomeroy of Silk & Willow. Inspired by bucolic childhood days of playing in the fields and wading by the stream, this shoot organically unfolded as we drew from our natural surroundings. New Paltz, with it’s rich history in farming and ample farmers markets was an ideal site location. Nestled in a field of wild clover and along a rambling river & stream; it was the perfect fit for the vision we had in mind.  See more from this editorial today on Once Wed and coming to print in Weddings Unveiled next Spring.

I had such a fun time shooting this editorial for Wall + Crown this Spring! They just launched their amazing new website where you can buy these fun nautical Cape Cod inspired T-Shirts.  The shirts are all made in America using environmentally friendly printing processes and are super soft so they feel like your favorite vintage shirt.  We had a great time enjoying all that Cape Cod has to offer from delicious lobster rolls to salt water taffy and from boating to beach lounging the shirts were the perfect fit!  And for all you fellow film shooters out there we have to support companies awesome enough to trust us to shoot their editorials on film!
