Melissa and Michael were married in an intimate backyard wedding with just 15 members of their immediate families at the bride’s parents house in Oyster Bay, New York. The bride channeled Jackie O with a classic retro hair and makeup and a long sleeved wedding dress. The bride got ready in her childhood bedroom with the help of her mom before doing a first look in the backyard garden surrounded by hydrangea bushes with Michael. The bride and groom walked the properties sculpture garden taking portraits before the ceremony with their families including the bride’s niece and nephew who served as ring bearer and flower girl. The bride was walked down the aisle by both her mother and father and then they said their I Do’s under a rustic chuppah made of branches to blend seamlessly with the backyard.
After the ceremony guests were invited down to the pool house for cocktails and beautifully crafted hors d’ouerves and entertainment by a mentalist. After the cocktail hour guests were invited to a single banquet table set up in the backyard with hand calligraphed menus and beautiful florals in tones of red, orange and pink interspersed with slate slabs with freshly baked baguettes on them. After a toast from the father of the bride and the cutting of the cake the party sat down for a four course meal with their families. Read more about their day featured on
