It’s always such an honor when a fellow wedding industry professional asks me to photograph a personal event. And this one was a stunner! Erin is the fabulously talented event planner, florist and pie maker behind the Brooklyn based Pickles and Pies! She and husband celebrated their 5 year wedding anniversary at the start of this Fall and it was such an honor to photograph it for them! We walked all around Williamsburg and then met up with some of their closest friends for an intimate candlight dinner with the most gorgeous tablescape designed by Erin herself. Such a beautiful night and so much fun to capture on film for them! See more from the day on Style Me Pretty’s Front Page today!
Trifon and David’s autumn wedding in New York City was everything a perfect city wedding should be- a day full of love, friends and a ton of laughter! I couldn’t get enough of David’s laugh during portraits! The morning started off with a lovely intimate reveal in the church’s garden before their guests arrived and the ceremony started. Trifon and David each pinned each others boutonnieres before heading inside the church to greet all their very colorfully dressed bridesmaids. The girls wore fuschia dresses accented with different unique pieces of turquoise jewelry gifted to them by the grooms. After the ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church on 5th Ave in Greenwich Village, the guests made their way over to the wonderful West Village restaurant, One If By Land Two If By Sea for a luncheon reception. Guests milled around the cozy brick restaurant as light streamed in through the large glass windows. Before kicking off the dancing guests toasted with French Assistance, the grooms’ signature cocktail, made of St. Germain, green Chartreuse, Champagne, tarragon and pink peppercorn. Lindsey and Nate are the talented and stunning couple behind Bellalu photography out in California so when Lindsey told me she was coming into town and wanted to set up an anniversary session I was so excited to meet them! We shot on the coldest day of the entire Fall with temperatures reaching a chilling 9 degrees with the wind chill factor on the waterfront in Brooklyn. You’d never know it though from the warmness and love that emanates from these two! Lindsey did an amazing job styling the session with a bright pop of red against the amazing NYC skyline. I loved shooting every minute of it even if I lost feeling in my fingers for the rest of the day! (I must say all the CA film shooters are spoiled not having to roll their film in freezing weather with gloves off)!!
Shot on Kodak Portra 400 and 800 and Ilford 3200 on a Contax 645, Processed by Richard Photo Lab.
