Sandy and Kain’s beautiful engagement party in Peconic was such a pleasure to photograph! It was one of the last weekends of summer where the air is just starting to get cool, but the days are still long and the sun still shines bright. The spectacular venue was Lenz Winery on the North Fork of Long Island. I love getting to work with amazing vendors who all come together to create a spectacular event! The florals were done by Landscape Adventure and the delicious catering was done by Lia Fallon of the River Head Project. They did an incredible job turning their garden into a stunning backdrop for the party with delicious wine, farm to table food, beautiful succulents and white roses on the tables and Sandy and Kain even had a harpist to set the perfect tone for the party. What a great way to end the summer and kick off the celebrations for their wedding next year!
Central Park is so iconic and one of the most popular places for photo shoots in the city. However the park is huge and most people only stop at a couple stops in the 70’s. Michael and Sara love Central Park and when we started planning their engagement shoot and they mentioned all the areas they love to go I got so excited for a shoot that explores the whole park from top to bottom. We started out at the beautiful Frick Museum where Michael proposed to Sara, which is right next to the park in the 70’s. Next we picked up their adorable dog Stevie for some photographs down on the South end of the park, which I love because you get both the trees of the park and the skyscrapers of Columbus Circle in the background. Then as the sun was setting we made our way up to the North Woods in the 100’s, which is a gorgeous part of Central Park that is always so nice and quiet without all the bustling tourists you find in the South part of the park. There’s even a beautiful waterfall that we stopped at for a few photos. We made our way through the wooded area as the sun was setting casting a pink glow over the trees and Michael and Sara. I had a great time with them and can’t wait for their wedding this winter!
Katie and Skyler’s Baseball themed proposal was so romantic on a TriBeCa rooftop! The proposal was expertly planned by The Heart Bandits and of course she said yes! The proposal was full of personal touches like hundreds of Katie’s favorite flowers and custom baseball cards. The Heart Bandits helped Sklyer make up a binder full of personalized baseball cards and on the last page the cards spelled out “Will You Marry Me?” The whole proposal took place during sunset on the rooftop of a private downtown club with an amazing view of lower Manhattan- so romantic and a pleasure to photograph for them!
