Wandering Around Amsterdam

On our way to Rwanda my dad and I had a one-day lay over in Amsterdam. I love Amsterdam and you can read about my previous visit to the city here, but this trip was just a short one afternoon stay so we decided to just wander around the city and take in the beautiful buildings and canals. The city is just gorgeous and full of history. Many of the buildings look like they are sinking into the canals and have sunk into the ground so much that they are now lopsided and leaning in all directions. If you just have one day in the city you could try and cram in all the museums and history, but to really enjoy the city I say do as the locals do and stroll around, hop on a bike, or enjoy an outdoor cafe and just enjoy the city.
