The best part of the Serengeti was our one leopard sighting. The leopard has always been one of the hardest cats to see as they are fast and elusive, but because of habitat loss they are becoming even harder to see. Spotting a leopard in the wild is difficult because they are mostly nocturnal and have excellent camouflaging skills. They are considered to be a threatened species, and while they are stealth and known as survivors great loss of habitat like the poacher fires could lead to their extinction.
